Horsley Furniture Transport is a second generation, father (John Horsley) and son (Carter Horsley) family business.
In the mid 90’s, having previously been in the restoration and sale of second hand antiques, John saw a gap in the furniture transportation market. Drawing on his expertise in handling antiques, of which were very popular at the time, John began the business, previously trading as John Horsley Furniture Transport. Operating as a sole trader, John built an industry reputation based on reliability, professionalism and industry expertise, all of which are our company values today.
As a result, Carter has always been involved in the business from a young age. During school holidays, time was spent helping with loading and unloading and going away on inter state trips with John.
John and Carter Horsley draw on over 35 years of industry experience to successfully uphold an industry reputation built on professionalism, industry experience, client focused customer service and achieving customer satisfaction by attending to and respecting your individual client needs.

Having now transitioned in to taking on the majority of day-to-day operations, Carter is the main point of contact. As a potential client, from the initial enquiry/ call to the unloading of your last item of furniture at your new home, you will deal directly with Carter the entire time. John is currently transitioning into a very well earned period of semi retirement. Working anywhere between 2-4 days per/ week, John is still very much hands on in the business. John’s wealth of industry experience and expertise is drawn on day-to-day to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the business.
Having previously owned a business in the hospitality industry, Josh knows what hard work and good customer service looks like. Josh works tirelessly from start to finish on every job, and is an invaluable asset to our business. Added bonus, he is guaranteed to make you laugh.
